Bajaj Dominar 250 gets a perfect fit for those who wish to enter the world of touring. It includes enough features to overwhelm. So, with the specs and styling, Dominar 250 became the favourite choice for long-distance riders.
After Dominar400, a 373 cc engine bike, Bajaj realised that it’s too much for riders who prefer smaller bikes. Then, Bajaj designed Dominar 250 in the frame of Dominar 400. Dominar 250 shares the engine from KTM 250 Duke.
The Bajaj Dominar 250 launched in March 2020 looks a lot more like its elder sibling, Dominar 400. Whether it’s designing or features, Dominar250 borrows its lion’s share from Dominar 400. The perimeter frame looks identical to Dominar 400.
The baby Dominar continues the family’s trendy naked tourer look. The bike gets feature-rich with signature mosaic-patterned Dominar LED headlamps, blacked-out mechanical bits, a muscular fuel tank, and the twin-barrel exhaust.
Bajaj engineers have equipped the Dominar 250 with a fully digital instrument panel, automatic headlamp-on, 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch, dual-channel ABS, and many more.

However, getting a BS6 compliant engine makes it a powerful bike in the segment.
However, the D250 embraces two colour choices only- Canyon Red and Charcoal Black- opposed to the four colour choices in 400.
The addition of new red colour differentiates D250 from the D400.
Visually, the skinner 37mm forks, a thinner rear bias-ply tyre, new box-section swingarm, and a smaller 300 mm front rotor make it different.
Dominar’s design gets unique. So, following the same design as Dominar 400 goes in favour of Dominar 250.
Dominar 250 incorporates a honeycomb LED headlamp, minimal tail section, large fuel tank, twin-barrel exhaust, diamond-cut alloy wheels, split seat, and bungee straps below the pillion seat. The backlit switchgear and the mirrors with aluminium stalk gives a more premium look to the motorcycle.

The fuel tank capacity of 250 remains unchanged, so it’s still 13 litres.
Suspension duties get handled by USD forks at the front, and the rear gets adjustable mono-shock set up. The USD fork at the front gets slimmer. So now it’s a 37mm unit which was a 43mm unit in the Dominar 400.
The rear adjustable mono-shock gets affixed on a new box-section swingarm. However, the Dominar 400 included a stamped metal swingarm.
The bikes come to rest via 300mm front brakes and 230 mm rear brakes.
While you find disc brakes at both ends with a front radial brake calliper and dual-channel ABS as standard, the front rotor gets a smaller 300mm unit.
With the same body panels as its elder sibling, Dominar 250 gets identical dimensions as well. So, it incorporates a length of 2,156, a width of 836 mm, and a height of 1,112mm.
The bike gets a ground clearance of 157mm, and the wheelbase spans 1,453. Though Dominar 250 gets identical to Dominar 400, the slight increase in weight of 4kg makes its heaviest in the segment. So, the motorcycle weighs 180Kg.
