KTM has been a subsidiary of KTM Sportmotorcycles AG since 2007, co-owned by Pierer Mobility AG and the Indian manufacturer Bajaj Auto. Bajaj Auto is now in charge of manufacturing and distributing KTM products in India and some Southeast Asian countries. KTM manufactures 45% of its products at Bajaj's Chakan, Maharashtra, plant.
