KTM AG (formerly KTM Sportmotorcycle AG) is an Austrian motorcycle, bicycle, and sports car manufacturer owned by Pierer Mobility AG and Indian manufacturer Bajaj Auto International Holdings BV. The company was founded in 1992; however, its roots can be traced back to 1934. KTM AG is now the parent company of the KTM Group, which includes several motorcycle brands.
KTM is well-known for producing off-road motorcycles (enduro, motocross and supermoto). Since the late 1990s, it has expanded into street motorcycle production as well as the development of sports cars, specifically the X-Bow.
KTM has been Europe’s largest motorcycle manufacturer for four years in a row, beginning in 2012. The company is a global leader in the production of off-road motorcycles and sold 203,423 motor vehicles worldwide in 2021.
