Highlights of Ducati Multistrada V4

Design of Ducati Multistrada V4

The overall profile of the Ducati Multistrada V4 looks like a bird’s front, and the front section looks similar to a bird’s beak. The front portion delivers a motion appeal that is ready to ride. The sharper and narrower front and back section makes the bike organised and compact. The headlight gets presented as a bird’s eye in the side of its beak! Whereas the higher windshield gives another supreme appearance to the rider. The wide handlebar with hand protector shows that the bike is fully equipped with sporty elements.

Furthermore, the new Multistrada V4 comes with two seats which are narrower than ago. The passenger seat is relatively higher, and both seats create a curvy surface, making the all-over look more angular.

Contextually, the saddle got modified as narrower, giving a lean centre section to increase control in standing. Also, the narrower central section ensures easy ground touching for riders of all heights. Further, not only the rider’s comfort, the passenger’s comfort gets priority in this long journey. The redesigned passenger seat padding maximises comfort with more comfortable handles and legroom.

The 102.5 mm trail handles continuity which supports leaving footprints in top-speed riding.

The Supermoto with curvy side panels can get into motion with light alloy wheels and Pirelli Scorpion Trail II tyres. The well-textured tyres work like a design that enhances the bike’s getup. Additionally, the engine section of the motorcycle is well-organised, which does not look complicated but supports the sportiness of the two-wheeler.

Variants and Colour of Ducati Multistrada V4

The Ducati Multistrada V4 offers two variants:

  • Ducati Multistrada V4
  • Ducati Multistrada V4 S

The Ducati Multistrada V4 STD is available in one colour:

  • Ducati Red with black rims

The Ducati Multistrada V4 S is available in three different colours:

  • Ducati Red (with glossy black rims and tag )
  • Aviator Grey (with gloss black rims and tag )
  • Iceberg White (with gloss black rims and tag )

Engine of the Ducati Multistrada V4

The Ducati Multistrada V4 beats with its heart of 1158cc V4 Granturismo, V4-90°, 4 valves engine with a counter-rotating crankshaft, and Twin Pulse firing order. The super fast engine with an 83 mm bore 53.5 mm stroke puts out a peak power of 170 bhp @ 10,500 rpm and a top torque of 125 Nm @8,750 rpm. The engine gets denoted as a 170 bhp engine for its superior performance.

Moreover, the cylinders’ idling in the rear engine bank supports the liquid-cooled engine’s thermal comfort. This special technology gets adopted from the Desmosedici Stradale model. The system gets activated when the engine is idle and helps reduce heat emission and improve the comfort of both rider and passenger. Also, the function works favourably with fuel consumption.

Features of Ducati Multistrada V4

The Ducati Multistrada V4 is a ready-to-ride two-wheeler for long journeys primarily due to its navigation system. The dashboard shows the status and your required location. Additionally, the innovative rider assistance radar system on both ends assists like a guide by activating the features like adaptive cruise control and blind spot detection systems.

The cruise control informs you how far ahead an object is, and the blind spot detection instructs during the necessity of lane changes. Along with those advanced systems, the bike includes new generation LED lighting, which standardised the Supermoto more. Also, the vehicle offers a 5″ TFT colour display.

The adjustable multi-element windshield enhances the attitude of facing long journeys and protects the rider from facing any natural adversity. Notably, the Aluminum monocoque frame gets built to deliver ease of riding and safe stability at high speeds. Moreover, the new compact engine provides more space which helps in mounting an adjustable saddle.

An accurate sound quality work modified the manifold and terminal level of the exhaust. The exhaust system assists in delivering all sportiness of the Ducati Multistrada V4. The exhaust gets lower frequencies not to hamper the rider’s comfort during long journeys.

The Multistrada gets a new double-sided swingarm which helps spoked rims. Additionally, the bike is 215 kg per dry weight, and its kerb weight is 240 kg. But the Multistrada V4 S is quite heavy with 218 kg dry weight and 243 kg kerb weight.

The long-journey Supermoto gives a mileage of around 15.4 kmpl kmpl with its 22-litre fuel tank.

Transmission, Suspension, and Brakes of Ducati Multistrada V4

The Ducati Multistrada V4 offers a 6-speed gearbox with Straight cut gears as a primary drive and chain drive as a final drive. Notably, the Multistrada V4 S includes Ducati quick shift gear, which eliminates the need to adjust the clutch or throttle before or after a gearshift and takes care of the rider’s focus on riding.

The Multistrada V4 offers a 50 mm fully adjustable USD fork suspension setup in its front to maintain rigidity and friction. At the same time, the Multistrada V4 S gets equipped with a Ducati Skyhook Suspension in its front. The front suspension travel in both models is 170 mm.

The suspension includes an electronic compression and rebounds damping adjustment. The rear suspension of the Multistrada V4 STD is a fully adjustable monoshock with remote spring preload adjustment and a double-sided aluminium swingarm. But the V4 S offers electronic adjustment with Ducati Skyhook Suspension. The rear suspension travel in both models is 180 mm.

Both the variants of the Ducati Multistrada V4 can halt with a 2 X 320 mm semi-floating front disc and a 265 mm rear disc.
