Ducati Streetfighter V4—The Naked Roadster

With aggressive styling, Streetfighter V4 takes much of the looks from Panigale V4—the stripped fairings accompanied by high and wide handlebars. The direct and minimal design comes with the low, forward-anted front with strong lines, giving the bike a predator look.

The compact front headlight gets in a double-layer casing with a remarkably refined design, in which the air inputs for the air box and the cooling of the LED units are received.

Streetfighter V4 is a bike that further compels the “Fight Formula” concepts and is designed to boost the rider’s emotions by making them feel like a pro in every ride on the road.

The passenger footrests and single seat delivers sportiness to the looks of the fuel tank design works to provide a confident ride ever during cornering.

The styling cues have an aggressive design that comprises an LED headlight with a V-shaped LED DRL, an LED taillight, and a single-sided swingarm design.

The Streetfighter V4 also gets the ‘biplane’ wings designed by Ducati Corse aerodynamicists.

Ducati Streetfighter V4 gets a sleek, angular design with the biplane wings jutting out from both sides of the bike. The weight distribution towards the front helps in increasing the accuracy and speed when it’s a corner entry.

The front end seems a tad Japanese, but there’s no doubting the exquisite finish and attention to detail that goes into such an exotic motorcycle.

The Ducati Streetfighter V4 gets powered by a 1103cc, Desmosedici Stradale 90° V4, 4 Desmodromically actuated valves per cylinder, liquid-cooled engine.

With the bore and stroke of 81 mm and 53.5 mm, the engine generates max power of 208 bhp at 12,750 rpm and a torque of 123 Nm at 9,500 rpm. The bike gets four engine delivery strategies:

• Full Power Mode- It lets the engine have the full potential torque without any electronic intervention (except the first gear).
• High and Medium Power Mode- These modes get a new Ride by Wire map management system with a dedicated calibration for every sixth gear. It lets the rider have the best acceleration when the throttle is opened.
• Low Power Mode- It is best suited for riding on low-grip surfaces. It limits the maximum power to 165 bhp. Thus, you have a manageable throttle response.

The Ducati Streetfighter V4 gets a five-inch full-TFT colour screen compatible with Ducati Multimedia System (optional accessory). The dashboard has the ‘Track Evo’ display mode, which allows you to get real-time information and the interventions of the electronic controls.

The Ducati Multimedia System works for easy smartphone connectivity.

Race, Sport, Street and Wet riding modes enable you to customize your ride as needed and the surface. The new Wet riding mode provides confidence and safety even on the low-grip surface.

The wheelie control system, three levels of cornering ABS, an eight-level cornering traction control system, engine brake control, a two-level Ducati Slide Control, and a three-level launch control system are some of the other features incorporated in Streetfighter V4 that increase the rideability.

The Ducati Streetfighter V4 has a 6-speed manual chain drive transmission.

The suspension setup includes a semi-active Ohlins suspension with SmartEC 2.0 interface, which helps in getting versatility and effectiveness to hold the bumps and provide a smoother ride.

The front suspension is a 43 mm chromed steel upside down (USD) Showa BPF fork, which provides wheel travel of 120 mm. The rear consists of a Fully adjustable Sachs damper with a single-sided aluminium swingarm, giving the wheel travel of 130 mm.

For braking, the Ducati Streetfighter V4 gets new Engine Brake Control (EBC) EVO 2 software that provides braking precision.

Two 330 mm Brembo discs with Brembo Stylema® R monobloc callipers perform the braking duties at the front. At the rear, it’s by 245 mm disc, 2-piston calliper with Cornering ABS EVO.
