Hero MotoCorp is gearing up to launch the new Karizma XMR on August 29 and has now shared a couple of teasers of their upcoming flagship motorcycle. The latest teaser serves as confirmation that the upcoming Karizma XMR will be equipped with a dual LED projector headlamp setup encircled by supplementary LED headlights. Complementing this setup, H-shaped DRLs adorn both sides of the headlight assembly. This design shift marks a significant departure from the original Karizma as well as the Karizma XMR. Hero will be offering front and rear petal disc brakes on their new flagship motorcycle. The bike maker is expected to come up with a new 210cc liquid cooled engine producing around 25 BHP and 25 Nm of torque. It will come with a 6-speed gearbox. More details will be revealed closer to the launch.

Launch is scheduled for 29th August. Hero expects the new Karizma to gather a lot of bookings ahead of the festive season. Hero tends to price its products aggressively, and hence we expect the new Karizma XMR to be positioned around the Rs 1.8 lakh mark (ex-showroom). Once launched, the Hero Karizma XMR will rival the hugely popular Yamaha R15 V4 (Rs 1.81 lakh-1.94 lakh) and the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 (Rs 1.92 lakh-2.02 lakh). Although it is likely to be more of a sports tourer in nature which will differentiate it from the Yamaha.
