Expert Reviews for Hero XPulse 200

  • The XPulse 200 BS6 is a complete beast for off-roading and shows a fair result compared to other BS6 models on the city roads and highways. It clocks around 40 km/l mileage on the city roads and a mileage of 47 km/l on routes.

  • Compared to the BS4 model, the company launched the BS6 model with some mechanical tweaks as one can notice the exhaust header has now been rerouted from under the crankcase to give a significant amount of space for the larger catalytic converter with a newly designed bash plate. Even with this modification, the ground clearance is not all hampered, and it remains at 220mm as it was in the previous model.

  • The current norms for motorcycles have dramatically affected the engine build quality of the vehicle. The engine doesn’t have that punch one could expect from a 200 cc motorcycle, due to which its performance felt lacking on the open highways.

  • The new model gets power from the 199.6cc engine, which reduces its brake horsepower (bhp) significantly and its torque by 0.65Nm.

  • The weight has increased by 4kg, and therefore the XPulse 200 BS6 now weighs 157kg. But the game-changer for the new BS6 model is the newly installed oil cooler. It significantly takes a massive load off the engine and provides the utmost comfort to the rider.

  • Even though the weight has gone up, at 157kg, it still feels very light and elegant. The fuel tank capacity is around 13 litres, and the bike gives around a range of 500 – 600 km, which fairs on relatively good terms for a touring bike.

Conclusion

To conclude, Hero has outclassed its previous model of the XPulse 200.

Following the new norms for the BS6 engine, the company has provided a power-packed model at an accessible price for expert riders. The BS6 model of the XPulse bike engine assists in fuel saving.

As the engine capacity of the Hero XPlus 200 bikeCarburetor decreases, it still glides excellently on the off-road tracks and uneven terrain. The rider gets the brilliant chassis setup, compliant suspensions, and excellent ergonomics to handle any terrain.

The XPulse 200 is sturdy enough to take the pounding off-road trails and wade through deep water crossings, which ideally is a hallmark for a good adventure bike.

Overall, it has decent mileage and is lightly weighted, which makes it more profitable.

Hero XPulse 200 possesses a 200 cc engine with a torque of 19.35 Nm.

The fuel capacity of the XPulse bike is 13 Liters. Rs. 96,500 to Rs. 1.21 lakhs is the price range of the XPulse 200 bike, which is ex-showroom price and is available in 3 variants with eight colours.

The Hero XPulse 200 bike has few shortcomings in engine vibrations, but it contributes to heat management.

The XPulse bike has excellent mileage and ensures rider comfort.

The Hero XPulse 200 bike has a warranty of 5 years. Being lightweight and comparatively cheap makes it exceptional in the market.
