Honda SP 160 launched in India, starts from 1.18 Lakhs onwards, there are 2 variants of the bike Single – Disc and Dual-disc variants. The bike has the same engine of Unicorn but with new body and new features. The new Honda SP 160 is available in six color options – Pearl Igneous Black, Pearl Spartan Red, Pearl Deep Ground Gray, Matte Dark Blue Metallic, Matte Axis Gray Metallic, and Matte Marvel Blue Metallic. It is the third 160cc offering from the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer, positioned between the Unicorn and XBlade in the company’s product lineup.
Starting with the engine, the new Honda SP 160 shares its frame (diamond-type) and engine with the Unicorn. This means that the bike is powered by a 162cc, single-cylinder engine producing a peak power of 13.5bhp and 14.6Nm of torque. The transmission duties are handled by a 5-speed gearbox.
The suspension setup includes telescopic front forks and a monoshock rear unit. The bike is equipped with a 276mm petal disc and a 220mm rear disc brake. There is also an option of a 130mm rear drum brake. The SP 160 comes with single-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system) as standard. Unlike the Unicorn, which comes with 18-inch wheels, the Honda SP 160 gets 17-inch units with 80/100-17 front and 130/70-17 rear tire sizes. It has a fuel tank capacity of 12 liters and a kerb weight of 141kg.
