The design is classic Ninja with a multi-reflector headlamp, an aggressive front end, a minimalistic back end, eye-catching alloy wheels, a ventilated fairing, a floating windscreen, clip-on handlebars, split seats, and the new livery.

The footpegs are moved, the handlebar is pushed forward, and the rearview mirrors get positioned differently, all of which contribute to a comfortable riding position that is neither overly committed to the track nor the touring.
