Komaki XGT X5: Making Riding Accessible to All With 3-Wheels

The Komaki XGT X5 is a scooter built for disabled and older people, so it is designed to accommodate and consider the needs of such people.

The first prominent aspect of the design is the wheels on the scooter’s side. The wheels on the side fully support the scooter’s weight equally so that the rider does not have to worry about shifting the scooter’s weight to the left or right when they come to a standstill in traffic.

Furthermore, in terms of design and look, the Komaki XGT X5 is structured to make riding easy. The colours are attractive and eye-catching, turning heads as you pass by. The small graphics on the scooter in white are a good contrast to the dark and deep colours and heighten the scooter’s visual and aesthetic. The scooter seat is plush and firm; it supports the rider well and is wide enough to support two people. The raised pillion on the back offers a small backrest for the second passenger, with footpegs at the bottom.

As this is an electric scooter, the Komaki XGT X5 is powered by a Mid Drive Motor with a 60V 35AH lithium-ion and gel batteries. The battery takes 4-5 hours to reach a full charge. The scooter’s battery is also removable and can be charged anywhere thanks to the portable charger you can carry wherever you go.

The battery on a full charge can cover a range of 90-100 km per charge and is also under warranty by Komaki for three years. The motor warranty period is one year.

The Komaki XGT X5 is equipped with Komaki’s iQ system, which enables the digital instrument console to operate independently without manually pressing any buttons. The smart dash has multiple sensors, can self-diagnose, has wirelessly updatable features and conveniently displays the battery power, speed and more on the colourful and clear screen.

Another great feature is the full LED lighting system fitted on the scooter – an LED headlight, tail light and indicators.

You can connect your phone via Bluetooth through the digital console, and it also has a mobile charging port.

The Komaki XGT X5 uses an automatic transmission system, so the gears and clutch change automatically depending on the speed you are going without changing it manually.

There are three riding gears— Eco, Sport and Turbo. These gears help to use the motor more efficiently, so when you are riding at a certain speed, you can choose the gear best suited for that. It will help you and the motor so it does not get strained, and the battery will be able to last longer and give you a smooth performance.

The suspension duties are performed by a telescopic shock absorber on the front and a hydraulic suspension at the rear. Both do a good job of absorbing any harsh impact and prevent you from bouncing up and down.

Disc brakes hold the braking duties at the front and rear, which gives the rider just enough power to gradually slow down and stop the scooter smoothly without the brake force being too strong.
