In terms of design, the S1000RR 2019 was first noticed by the fact that BMW got rid of the asymmetrical headlamp with a quirky look and replaced it with a stylish LED projector. This new BMW sport bike offers a new spar aluminum frame. The chassis is presented with a new fairing that is more elegant and compact. With the aspects of gadgets, upgrades include a color TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, dynamic traction control, hill start assist, Pro shift assist, and highly adjustable engine braking.
The engine is holds a number of driver aids, containing the six-axis IMU, cornering ABS, dynamic traction control, hill start assist and engine brake control. 2019 BMW also offers four driving modes that are: Rain, Road, Race and Dynamics. Most exclusive that are out now includes a fully digital 6.5-inch TFT instrument cluster with Smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth.Its breathtaking appearance, pure performance gives rider true sports like experience.
Beneath the carved BMW is faired with 999cc four-cylinder in-line engine producing 207ps and 113 nm of peak torque and is more compact than before. Up front, it employs a fully-adjustable 45mm inverted fork. Talking about brakes it gets dual 320mm discs with radial calipers up front and a 220mm disc at the rear with a single-piston caliper. Overall, the revised chassis, new bodywork and lighter parts have resulted in a kerb weight of just 197kg, which is a whole 11kg lighter than the previous model!
The new S 1000 RR has been launched and priced at 18.5 lakh for the standard version, 20.95 lakh for the Pro version and 22.95 lakh for the Pro M-Sport version.
Once it gets launched in India, the BMW S 1000 RR 2019 will compete with models such as the Ducati Panigale V4, the Yamaha YZF-R1, the Kawasaki ZX-10R and the Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade.
