Chinese motorcycle manufacturer CF Moto officially began its India operations
The company begin its India operation with the launch of four new motorcycles this month. The 4 launched bikes are CF Moto 300 NK, 650 NK, 650 MT, and 650 GT. For its India operations, the company has partnered with Bangalore-based AMW Motorcycles to assemble its motorcycles in the country and set-up its sales and service network.
For now, all four bikes will be made in China and make their way to India as Completely Knocked down (CKD) units, which will then be assembled at AMW Motorcycle’s facility near Hyderabad. Also, the company will start accepting online bookings for all four bikes from 5 August.
Lets’ ride into the specs:
The entry-level CF Moto 300 NK will produce around 33 BHP and 20.5 Nm of peak torque. While the other three bikes – 650 NK Street Fighter, 650 MT Adventure Tourer and 650 GT Sport Tourer – share the same 649cc 3-cylinder engine, but are tuned differently for each bike.
On the 650 NK, the engine produces about 60 BHP and 56 Nm maximum torque. 650 MT is set to produce about 69 BHP and 62 Nm maximum torque. At the same time, the 650 GT generates about 60 BHP and 58.5 Nm maximum torque with the same twin-cylinder engine. All bikes have a six-speed box.
300 NK and 650 NK are naked motorcycles on the street, 650 MT is a tour-road and 650 GT is a tourer. 300 NK presents an elegant style with a minimal body and comes with intelligent features such as: LED headlight, TFT instrument console, wide handlebars and more. While the 650NK features a sharp design language and a compact frame, the fuel tank design has a muscular appearance and is pleasing to the eye with tank extensions.
Talking about 650MT it gets a typical ADV design, with a tall stance and relaxed ergonomics. Lastly, the 650 GT comes packed with a slew of features which includes split LED headlights, an LED taillight and turn signals 5-inch full-colour TFT display, USB charging port and a 12V outlet with two screen layouts.
300 NK gets a Trellis frame, front USD forks, and rear mono-shock. Also, the bike runs on a set of 17-inch alloy wheels shod in 110/70 tires at the front and 140/60 section tires at the back. Braking is handled by disc brakes at both end and dual-channel ABS. While we talk about the rest 3 bikes, all three use twin discs up front and a single disc at the rear for braking power. Dual-channel ABS will be offered as standard.
The suspension set-up is different on the bikes though with the 650 GT and the 650 NK using telescopic forks up front and a mono-shock at the rear, while the 650 MT gets USD forks up front with a mono-shock at the rear.
300NK is priced at Rs 2.29 lakh, 650NK at 3.99 lakh Rs, 650MT at 4.99 lakh Rs and 650GT at 5.49 lakh. The competitive price could very well give the biggest players a race for their money in the superbike category.
The recently launched CF Moto motorcycles will be available for purchase at AMW dealerships located in Hyderabad, Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, and Chennai. In addition, the four CF motorcycles will have a standard warranty of two years.
