Introduction of Suzuki Access 125

Suzuki Access 125 has been the highest-selling 125 cc scooter in India. Suzuki has managed to be the number 1 selling 125 cc scooter in India for many years now with constant updates taking suggestions from their customers, providing the best class in style to their scooter, and delivering top-notch performance, fuel efficiency, tech, and value for money.

Suzuki knows the vein of Indian consumers and delivers what exactly they need. They have cracked the code of success by constantly reminding the Indian consumer that Suzuki Access is the scooter with the most mileage than any other 125 cc scooter in India.

Suzuki introduced the Access 125, India’s first 125cc scooter, in 2007. The Suzuki Swish 125, which used the same engine, was the successor. The Swish was quickly discontinued, whilst the Access 125 had a significant physical redesign in 2016, and the general design has stayed constant with minor changes. So, it’s safe to say that Access has aged nicely in its 15 years on the Indian market.

While Suzuki has succeeded in practically every two-wheeler category in India, Access 125 is among the best-selling model. The BS6 update keeps most of the BS4 model’s stylistic elements, but some significant alterations exist.

What's new in the latest model of Suzuki Access 125

  • The latest model of Suzuki Access 125 gets a branding update on the scooter’s side. The 3D printed “Access125” is now more aligned to the scooter’s frame than before.
  • Suzuki has introduced new colour options for the Access 125. The scooter’s regular model now comes in two new colour schemes: Metallic Dark Greenish Blue and Metallic Matte Black. On the other hand, the edition with smartphone connectivity is now available in Glossy Grey.
  • New colour schemes do not see price hikes for the scooter.
  • Suzuki also implemented the government-mandated side stand interlock safety feature in the latest model of Access 125.

Highlights of Suzuki Access 125

Design of Suzuki Access 125

The Suzuki Access 125 scooter has a retro look with a square headlight surrounded by chrome, which makes it look more expensive. The Access 125 hasn’t changed much in how it looks over the years, and that’s because Indian customers like the scooter’s traditional, neutral look.

There aren’t many folds or sharp edges. Even though the front of the Access 125 isn’t very stylish, two long indicators are on either side of the apron, and these are the only stylish parts up front.

From the side, the scooter’s panels don’t look like much. A piece of grey plastic adds to the design but doesn’t make the scooter look better. The Access 125 looks good from the back, has a big tail light, and the chrome cover on the exhaust makes it look a bit more stylish.

Expert Reviews

  • The Access 125 keeps the majority of the previous model’s stylistic elements. However, the design does not appear to be out of date. The scooter exudes a nostalgic vibe that is appealing.

  • The plastic section of the scooter feels excellent, and there are no holes. While the keyhole is multipurpose, it lacks the capability that allows you to open the external fuel lid remotely.

  • The riding position is upright, so you won’t tire out even if you ride it all day.

  • Suzuki boasts that the footboard and seat are longer, but a significant difference cannot be noticed. It used to be big and accommodating for two-fit riders, and it still is. Even for short riders, the seat height of 773 mm is adequate.

  • Because the entire suspension arrangement is softer, the Access will absorb practically everything you throw at it, making it ideal for city duty.

  • The braking isn’t outstanding. While the 190 mm disc brake provides decent stopping power, it lacks bite. The scooter comes with a Combined Braking System, a lifesaver in bad road conditions.

  • The scooter’s tyres provide adequate grip in city circumstances, and the wet grip is also sufficient. Overall, the dynamics are pleasant and perfectly fit the scooter’s character.

Conclusion

In India, the Suzuki Access 125 scooter is the best-selling model and is now the best-selling 125 cc scooter in India. It is an accomplishment for Suzuki to have a best-selling scooter in its portfolio, especially in a scooter market dominated by Honda and TVS.

Even though the scooters in India’s 125 cc market have a bold, fascinating appearance, the Access 125 scooter stands apart due to a conservative style that is typical of scooters in India. More crucially, the format appears to be working for Suzuki Motorcycle India.

Suzuki Access 125 is a reliable scooter loaded with features and has everything the Indian customer wants. Suzuki is slowly and gradually shifting the attention of the Indian crowd from Honda’s Activa to its power pact scooter. Suzuki Access 125 is a steal deal and a must-consider if you plan to buy a scooter soon.
