The most anticipated bike of Hero MotoCorp is launched Hero MotoCorp has launched the all-new Karizma XMR at Rs 1,82,900 (ex-showroom). It also gets an introductory price of Rs 1,72,900 (ex-showroom). The booking window for the Karizma XMR will open today at 2:10 p.m. and the motorcycle can be booked with a refundable amount of Rs 3,000. The Karizma name has a long history in India. The model was originally launched in India in the mid-2000s and survived till the late 2010s. The Karizma XMR is powered by an all-new liquid-cooled, 210cc, single-cylinder engine making 25.5hp at 9,250rpm and 20.4Nm at 7,250rpm, which is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and a slip and assist clutch. This new liquid-cooled engine (a Hero first) is nestled within a steel trellis frame, suspended by a telescopic fork and a preload adjustable monoshock.
Braking duties are taken care of by a 300mm disc up front and a 230mm rotor at the rea and the Karizma XMR is also the first Hero motorcycle to get dual-channel ABS. The Karizma XMR 210 gets a new chassis and it is suspended on telescopic front forks and a six-step adjustable rear monoshock. The braking hardware comprises a single-petal front disc and a standard rear disc with dual-channel ABS. The setup is mounted on 17-inch alloys wrapped in road-biased tyres.
Hero MotoCorp has priced the new Karizma XMR 210 at Rs. 1.73 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It rivals the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250, Yamaha R15 V4, and Bajaj Pulsar RS200.
