The bike features a two-piece high-pressure die-cast rear subframe and an aluminium beam twin spar frame. The swingarm is twin-sided, and the cast consists of aluminium alloy. Its tail section has been altered to give the bike a swept-up and sportier look.

The same 765cc in-line 3-cylinder engine, complying with Euro 5/BS6, is used in the Street Triple Moto2, RS, and R.
The Street Triple R now generates a power of 120 bhp at 11,500rpm, while the RS and Moto2 Edition produces a category-leading power of 130 bhp at 12,000rpm. The torque figure remains the same for all—80 Nm at 9,500rpm.
