Triumph Tiger 1200—A Road-Focussed Adventure Bike

The latest model of Tiger 1200 consists of a comfortable riding position and a slimmer seat. Each element of the new generation Triumph Tiger 1200 has been refined and crafted to deliver the best performance in every circumstance.

This ultimate adventure bike chassis has developed with the perfect balance of stability and weight. The all-new plush rider and pillion seat design has been optimised for easy standover.

The new generation will enjoy the comfort and dynamic handling to a whole new level. The lightweight frame has a separate rear subframe and a Tri-link swingarm with an integral Shaft drive.

The new adjustable windscreen can get adjusted by one and works to provide better wind protection. The handlebar is now 20mm wider, with the Explorer handlebar 16mm higher.

The Triumph Tiger 1200 incorporates a 1160cc, liquid-cooled, 12 valves, DOHC, inline with 3 cylinders, fuel injected, and BS6 engine. The engine can generate a max power of 148bhp @ 9000 rpm and a peak torque of 130 Nm @ 7000 rpm.

The engine’s bore and stroke dimensions are 90 mm x 60.7 mm, and have a compression ratio of 13:2:1. Fueled by a tank of 30 litres capacity, Triumph Tiger 1200 gives a mileage of approx 19.60 Km/l.

The bike features an LED tail light and an automatic headlight that gives bright light, which makes it more beautiful. The superbike has mobile app connectivity that enhances safety with a GPS navigation system.

Triumph Tiger 1200 has two trip meters, a speedometer, and a low fuel indicator. The seat height of 850mm and weight of 245 kg make it a comfortable ride for bikers.

Tiger 1200 has a manual transmission, and the BS6 engine has paired with a six-speed gearbox and a shaft drive, which gives excellent performance.

The Triumph Tiger 1200 is equipped with 49mm of Showa upside-down fork suspension with 200 mm travel at the front. At the rear, it gets a semi-active mono-shock, with automatic electronic preload adjustment and 200mm wheel travel.

Tiger 1200 gets handled by a twin braking system of 320mm disc brakes at the front. However, the brake specification at the rear is a single 282mm disc brake.
