TVS Scooty Pep Plus, introduced by TVS Motor Company in 2005 as a lightweight, entry-level scooter, came with a host of new features compared to TVS Scooty Pep. It was one of the first few gearless scooters in the Indian market.
Though launched as a unisex scooter, it aimed specifically at women buyers post-2009, after registering monthly sales figures of nearly 25,000 units.

BS6 fuel-injected engine: The TVS Scooty Pep Plus comes fitted with a new BS-VI compliant fuel-injected engine that is optimised to give more fuel efficiency and power.
Mudhal Kadal Edition: The Mudhal Kaadhal (which means ‘First Love’ in Tamil) edition was launched exclusively in Tamil Nadu in January 2021. It sports a fresh new colour and graphics, and the TVS logo gets written in Tamil.
Front mobile charging socket: The BS6 model comes with a new front mobile charging socket that helps riders to recharge their cellular devices on the go.
The TVS Scooty Pep+ receives a BS6 87.8 cc fuel-injected engine mated to a CVT gearbox.
It can churn out a max power of 5.43PS at 6500rpm and peak torque of 6.5Nm at 3500rpm. It is 0.43PS more powerful and 0.7Nm torquier compared to the BS4 version.
It can sprint from 0-60 Kmph in 11.5 seconds and achieves a top speed of 70-74 Kmph.
The BS6 fuel-efficient engine gives it a mileage of 60-68 Kmpl, depending on the road it is travelling. The lightweight scooter weighs just 93 kgs and gets a 4.2-litre fuel tank.
TVS Pep Scooty gets built on a steel underbone frame linked to telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock suspension at the rear.
Running the scooter is a pair of 10-inch alloy wheels equipped with 110mm drum brakes with synchronised braking technology. The two-wheeler has a ground clearance of 135mm and a seat height of 760mm.
Primarily marketed as a scooter for female riders, the Scooty Pep Plus has a lightweight and sleek design. The kerb weight of 93 kgs makes it one of the lightest scooters in the Indian market.
The halogen headlamp is the same as the previous model. A pair of black-coloured rearview mirrors get fitted between the handles.

A pair of footpegs fitted at both sides and a flappable side footrest is to the left for pillion riders. It also comes with a rear grab rail cum carrier. It rides on a pair of alloy wheels, and a chrome-cover exhaust gives it an appealing look.
