The already stronger naked Yamaha MT15 is a 155cc beast now future proof with its BS-VI compliant engine. The motorcycle creates power from a four-stroke, four-valve liquid-cooled SOHC engine. The motor is capable of churning out power 18.6PS and 14.1Nm.
Compared with the BS4 version, the engine output gets a bit lower- almost 0.7PS and 0.6Nm, to be precise.
While the engine tune of the bike remains just the same for its BS6 version, the shorter final drive ratio on the naked makes the bikeway too quick while commuting.
The motorcycle makes the same delta box frame, front conventional telescopic fork, and rear mono-shock unit as R15 v3.
However, talking about the rear swingarm, it doesn’t feature aluminium instead of steel box-type. Braking, however, is the same, with disc brake at both the end.
The bold mix of colours in the MT charms the rider with its striking appearance.
This motorcycle’s bold and beautiful attractiveness evokes energy, excitement, and riding aggression that ignites passion in the rider.
MT shares many resemble and good looks from the larger MT-09. It has trickled down the gorgeous designs from its premium entry-level offerings pretty well.
The raised tail of the dark warrior steals all attention, and the super sleeky, edgy and charming LED light reflects a beast in the dark. Indeed it’s one tiny motorcycle, and even with its BS6 avatar, the look doesn’t change.
Its alienesque look grabs all the eyeballs, plus the new red and white colour just looks smashingly fascinating. MT-15, perfectly comfortable seat width delivers a unique riding position, and of course, easy leg reaches support to the pillion rider.
Its compact headlight adds uniqueness, style and a modernistic touch to its overall look and feel. With that, it is easy to hold, easy to grab, easy to grip bike for rider enthusiasts to feel just the right amount of comfort with design.
Overall, the bike look compact, bulker from the side, but powerful.

The Bi Functional LED headlight offers fantastic night vision. Hi-and-low beam gets integrated with a single compact unit, making it well-furnished and technically advanced, first in the category.
The lighting setup in the MT-15 consist of LED headlamps, two overlead LED DRLs, and the light spreads fairly impressive with brightness and wide beam around.
While others admire the stylish, finishing and looks of the bikes, you can admire the information it displays to improve your riding. A well informed Multi-function Negative LCD Instrument Cluster is all you get.
The MT-15 gets a larger 52-tooth rear sprocket than the Yamaha YZF R15 V3, which receives a 48-tooth unit. That’s why it’s better with roll-on acceleration, due to shorter gearing leading to quick manoeuvres like a breeze.
The MT-15 gets a lot more muscular elements with its 10-litre fuel tank, sharp tank extensions.
The MT badge gets its finishing in silver, making it stand out in the crowd. The wheels get fluorescent highlights that perfectly sync with the MT logo.
When speaking about the ergonomics, the bike is a lot more comfortable and exceptional in performance than R15 V3.0. With a tall and flat handlebar, you sit upright but with a slight tilt forward. The sitting position keeps you in a very favourable posture.
